PROVIDENCIALES (3×3 Basketball) – The Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) National Basketball Federation in collaboration with Challenge Your World have hosted two 3×3 basketball clinics in the TCI under a theme of “Sport For Sustainability”.
More than 110 children were given specific 3×3 basketball coaching, with skills such as rebounding, stealing being worked on, as well as passing drills focusing on rapidly bringing the ball beyond the three-point line for outside shooting. The format’s 10-second shot clock was at the heart of many exercises.
In parallel to receiving 3×3 coaching, the youngsters were taught about environmental sustainability, and were able to use their basketball skills to shoot empty plastic bottles into recycling bins.
